Emmerdale has revealed longer-term plans for Kerry Wyatt’s new relationship with Jai Sharma, as she steps up to take responsibility for his teenage son Archie.
Kerry looks set to get a second chance at motherhood as she’s called upon to help keep Archie in line.
In scenes airing over the next fortnight, Kerry and her sham husband Eric Pollard are pushed to their limits when Archie starts to rebel.
Archie acts up while his father Jai is away on a trip, so it’ll be a battle of wills as Kerry and Eric try to stay one step ahead.
“With Kerry and Jai, his son Archie is going to be up to a few bad things, and we’ll see how their parenting styles differ,” Emmerdale‘s producer Laura Shaw explained in an exclusive Inside Soap chat.
“It’s going to test Kerry and Jai as a couple but also cement them as a little family.”
It’s fair to say that Kerry’s love life has been complicated recently. She tied the knot with Eric in a marriage of convenience at Christmas, keen to help him make sure that his grandson Jacob would get the biggest inheritance possible.
