Romance could soon be on the horizon for Emmerdale‘s Graham Foster and Kim Tate, despite the pair’s shady history together. The former flames have spent years plotting and scheming against each other – but is there a fine line between love and hate?
Earlier this month, Graham made the shocking decision to come clean about his recent revenge plan, which saw him tampering with Kim’s medication in an attempt to kill her. He explained that he was retaliating after Kim plotted his murder years ago.
In a surprise twist, Kim decided to wipe the slate clean, declaring them “even”. But will their new truce pave the way for something more?
Speaking about his character’s recent battle with Kim, actor Andrew Scarborough admitted that Graham was “tempting fate”, and hinted that things could still go “horribly” wrong.
“I think you’re always tempting fate with Kim! Yes, but I think they feel safe picking battles with each other. It’s seeing how far they can push each other, but at the same time, she hasn’t quite pushed him over the edge yet,” he explained.
“She tried to kill him, but didn’t go through with it. I mean, she had other fixes that she could have found possibly, but Graham didn’t die. And I think he’s done things to her before and couldn’t quite go through with it.”
He added: “But who knows? It might horribly go wrong as well. They might end up going through with it by accident, not design.”
Scarborough addressed Graham’s recent heartbreak when Rhona Goskirk chose to be with Marlon Dingle over him. He shared that Rhona was “part of the reason he came back” and that Graham is “genuinely devastated” by her decision.
The actor shared his “hope” that Graham will be pushed closer to Kim, given their recent truce, adding that there’s “always going to be a spark” between them.
“I enjoy that firecracker stuff that goes on. I love Kim’s one-liners, and she does them so well. It’s like a good, pyrotechnic tennis match.”
