Secrets always come out on The Young and the Restless, and there’s definitely one hanging over Audra and Holden like a dark cloud waiting to rain on their respctive parades. What will happen when it’s finally exposed? Everything will change.
Young & Restless spoilers hint that Holden and Audra will be forced to face their past this week, which refers to the accidental killing of the creepy art dealer Audra stole money from after he groped her in the Shadow Room in L.A. Given things have been going swimmingly for both of them of late, it’s particularly soapy timing to have a bomb dropped that they thought they’d buried for good.
So, how’s it going to go down? Well, the first thought that comes to mind is that Noah’s helpfully brought the scene of the crime to Genoa City… or at least an exact replica of it. When Holden and Audra walk into the nuShadow Room, they’ll undoubtedly be “forced” to face their past in the form of those black and white flashbacks. That could be all there is to the spoiler. However…
Audra’s living her best professional life, working alongside her bestie, Sally, and Holden has reconnected with Claire and is looking forward to bonding with his newfound dad, Malcolm. Everything’s coming up roses for the duo from L.A., so what better time for the writers to blow it all up?
For Audra, the reveal of the secret may not send her to prison, but it would almost certainly set her back to square one professionally. Billy was against Sally hiring her, let alone putting her name on the business, and we can only imagine the intensity of his “I told you so” when he finds out what she did. Sally may have compassion for her pal, considering the creep involved was putting his hands all over her, but she may be forced to drop the Charles from Spectra Charles given the optics.
In Holden’s case, he may have to prove he acted in self-defense when he delivered the blow that led to the man’s death to stay out of jail. Even worse, Devon’s suspicions about him would be validated (which would be sooo annoying!) and he may turn his newfound family against him. Finally, he’s bound to lose Claire, who has become the judgiest person in Genoa City despite her own recent and more nefarious history.
How will the secret come out? Well, Audra’s headed into a new love triangle with Noah and Sienna, and we’re sure Mitch/Matt’s ex-wife would love to use this kind of ammunition against her rival. We’re guessing it’s Sienna who will somehow put the pieces of the puzzle together. Perhaps she’ll overhear them discussing it in the nuShadow Room?
Even if they don’t face jail time, Audra and Holden’s entire lives are about to be upended when the secret is eventually revealed. But considering the soap is about to redeem Sharon’s rapist, there’s certainly hope they will weather the storm.
