At Forrester, Will scoffs at RJ firing him. Ridge steps in to confirm, “You’re fired.” Across the hall, Electra’s mystified by Dylan’s revelation that Will hit RJ. “They were fighting over you.” Over at Logan, Liam’s still worried about the fireworks if they manage to get the Hope For the Future diamond. Katie interrupts. At Brooke’s place, Deke marvels at Hope asking him to join her at Logan.
At Logan, Katie, Liam and Bill recap how difficult it is for Hope to leave Brooke and Forrester. Bill grunts that they’ll make it well worth her while. Katie worries about Brooke spinning this so that it hurts them… it looks like they’re picking off Forrester talent one-by-one. Bill won’t let that happen. They’ll give the press something bigger to write about (he means the diamond).

Beating Around the Bush
At Brooke’s place, Hope recaps to Deke that she couldn’t take being under Steffy’s thumb anymore. He asks, “How’d your mom take the news.” Hope admits she doesn’t know, explaining she took a leave of absence. He chastises, “A leave of absence?! You’re quitting.” She impresses upon him that no one can know. He asks if she’s sure about this.

Deke and Hope go over her decision and who she trusts. She may not entirely trust Bill, but she does trust Liam and Katie. She needs her brother to put her idea on paper. “I need someone who gets me.” With that, she invites him to go with her to Logan.
The Punch Heard ‘Round the World
At Forrester, Dylan gives Electra the rundown on the punch again as, across the hall, Will tries defending himself. RJ started this yet he’s the one getting fired. RJ smirks.

In the design office, Electra hopes Will and RJ can fix their issues as she and Dylan have. It’s doubtful, given that Will’s getting the can at that very moment. The two of them go at it in the office as Carter steps in to tell the Spencer that his time at the company is over. When RJ calls him a lowlife like his old man, Ridge tells his son to stop.
Will gets another dig in by calling RJ a mommy’s boy. Electra will never want him because he’s insignificant. Will shames Ridge and warns RJ he’ll regret messing with him. “Put some ice on and stop crying.” RJ just keeps on smirking.

As the adults debrief, Carter points out that Will wasn’t the only one causing problems; RJ was antagonizing him. Steffy, who’s spent half her life and watched her father and mother spend their lives in love triangles, simply can’t believe how things blew up between them over Electra.

RJ, meanwhile, wastes no time in meeting up with Dylan in the showroom to spread the news, teasing that Will’s the one who’s sorry now. At that very moment in the design office, Electra asks Will abut the punch. He cops to it, complaining that RJ was feeling her up. Electra reminds him they all work there and need to get along. He reveals that RJ had him fired.

Over at Logan, Katie’s still going on about the potential backlash when Hope arrives with Deke in tow. The group discusses the need for secrecy and Katie asks Deacon’s son if this visit means he’ll be joining them.

The Final Scenes
At Logan, Deke gets the full-court press. Bill thinks this is a no-brainer. “Let’s do it!” Hope cajoles, “It’s you time, Deke, so join me.” This wouldn’t be B&B if Deke didn’t pause to recap his whole journey before giving his answer. Finally, he declares he’s in. Applause and hugs ensue.

Back at Forrester, Ridge tells Brooke he had no choice but to fire Will. He has to stand up for RJ… he’s their son (as if we could forget).
More: B&B ended its most loathed story!
In the showroom, RJ informs Dylan that Will’s punch was just a glimpse into how dangerous a Spencer can be when he loses it. He smugly announces that he’s been fired from Forrester and won’t be back, and smirks. So much smug smirking!

More: Dylan’s life set to change again
In the design office, Electra’s in disbelief, “This is crazy!” Will explains it was all RJ whining to his mommy and daddy. Electra whines that everything was perfect just this morning, now they won’t be working together anymore. She fears she’s cost him his job. Will blames RJ. He’s trying to come between them, and they won’t let that happen. As horns blare, they embrace and kiss.
