5 MASSIVE EMMERDALE SPOILERS AS CHARITY’S TWISTED LIES CLAIM THEIR FIRST VICTIM.vp

In tonight’s hour-long episode of Emmerdale, Mackenzie goes all-out to support Charity – but his intervention could backfire as everyone remains unaware of what’s really troubling her.

Meanwhile, Caleb is devastated to realise that he’s been scammed. Will he discover that Archie is responsible?

Read on for five big moments from the episode…

1. Manpreet steps in to support Charity

Mackenzie seeks out a quick chat with Manpreet and Liam at the café, discreetly suggesting that Charity may need some support for her mental health. Manpreet goes ahead and pays Charity a visit at home – reminding her that help is there if she needs it.

Charity goes along with Mackenzie and Manpreet’s mistaken assumption that she has post-natal depression. She’s relieved, however, when Manpreet offers to help by providing sleeping pills and anti-depressants.

2. Sarah’s left devastated by Charity’s news

Although Charity has urged him not to betray her confidence, Mackenzie lets Sarah know that her gran is struggling following baby Leyla’s arrival.

It’s crushing news for Sarah, who becomes emotional and blames herself for the situation – pointing out that the surrogacy seems to have caused this.

As Charity doesn’t want Sarah to give herself an unnecessary hard time, she later alludes to the fact that there’s more going on – but is she prepared to share it yet?

3. Kerry messes up when scamming Caleb

Kerry and Archie make another phone call to Caleb as ‘AI Steph’, asking him for even more money. This time, Caleb doesn’t buy it and he’s enraged to realise that he’s already been scammed out of £5,000. Eric also catches the pair in the act, and berates them for being so ruthless.

As Caleb and Ruby think back to the most recent conversation, they note that ‘AI Steph’ mentioned the age gap between Laurel and Ross. It seems that Kerry has messed up by revealing that the scammer is someone close to home.

4. Caleb vows to fight back

Caleb confides in Billy that he feels foolish after being scammed so easily, and laments at losing his edge since settling into village life.

After hearing Kerry talking about her new knock-off handbag, Caleb realises that there’s serious money to be made in counterfeit goods. He decides to start his own illegal operation, running it through the depot without Jai noticing.

Will Billy be tempted when Caleb invites him to play a key role in the dodgy dealings?

5. Kyle’s unexpected news sparks problems for Cain

Cain is surprised when Kyle announces that he has decided to join the Army Cadets. His playful reaction annoys Kyle, leading to an argument at home. Later, Cain tries to make amends by attending Kyle’s swearing-in ceremony at the village hall.

However, he soon has to dash off after suffering an accident due to the lack of toilet facilities. Charles and Bob step in to help at The Woolpack, showing appropriate sensitivity towards Cain’s ongoing side-effects following his operation.
