Phyllis is betting the whole farm on Nick being able to convince Christine to drop the charges against her in return for Matt Clark, but an upcoming Young & Restless twist would upend the entire deal and send her off the proverbial deep end!
Phyllis has been having more trouble than anticipated keeping tabs on Matt Clark’s whereabouts, and Young & Restless viewers should continue to expect that to be a complication, but even more concerning is that Nick’s story is about to take a turn that could put the kibosh on their tenuous deal.
Phyllis, of course, has promised to hand over Matt Clark to a vengeful and drug-addicted Nick, who hazily committed to convincing Christine to drop the charges against his ex-wife in return. This seems like a very big “if” given that the only way to hold up his end of the deal is to rat out his father and sister for handing the D.A. fabricated evidence.
As daunting as that may be, Nick is determined to make it happen. Too bad he’s so drug-addled that he hasn’t thought of following Phyllis up the stairs where she has Clark stashed in a suite. And that, SOAPS readers, is the crux of the problem. He’s not thinking straight and his loved ones know it.
That brings us to a very telling Young & Restless spoiler that has Victor and Nikki putting aside their differences to deal with Nick’s drug addiction. Reading between the lines, they’re going to band together to force him to go get treatment in the rehab facility that Sharon lined up.
A follow-up spoiler teases Nikki “standing her ground.” Sooo, Nick’s not getting out of this, folks! That means Phyllis is about to find herself not only struggling to keep tabs on her loose cannon, amnesiac bargaining chip, but also back to dealing with Victor, who refuses to budge on her giving back the company.
Desperation tends to make Phyllis spin out, so we’re anticipating that once the prospect of dealing with Nick evaporates, the redhead will be launched into full meltdown mode. What wild hare will she go on next in her quest to hold onto Summers Conglomerate? You’ll have to tune in to Young & Restless to find out!
