Is Kim Tate (Claire King) set to destroy one of the most solid marriages in Emmerdale?
Unbelievably, there is no malice involved, Kim is just trying to protect a friend. But in the process blows Lydia and Sam Dingle’s (James Hooton) marriage wide open.
Sam doesn’t help himself – sneaking around having dancing lessons in a bid to impress his wife. His devious behaviour is enough to raise eyebrows, and it’s Kim’s that shoot sky high when she watches him slink out of Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) house.
Now Lydia (Karen Blick) is Kim’s best* (*only) friend, having dragged Kim out of the gutter more than once, and in return Kim devotes to her fierce loyalty. Sam unwittingly has put a target on his back.

Unable to ignore the sound of her own blood boiling, Kim reveals her half-baked suspicions to Lydia.
Lydia’s world falls apart.
The Dingle Matriarch is left utterly inconsolable at learning her rock is her betrayer.
Now that Kim has put the idea in her head, Lydia can’t help but see the signs. Kim offers to go and confront him, but Lydia wants to see how this plays out. It’s a sad day when her suspicions are confirmed – she walks into the Woolpack to see Sam hugging Laurel.

With some egging on from Kim, Lydia loses it in public, shaming Sam for his home-wrecking affair. Her outburst is massive and could do as much damage as if her accusations were real.
But will the truth come out? Will Ross step forward and reveal it’s him Laurel is sleeping with, not Sam?
Will Gabby then learn Laurel swiped her man from under her? The ripples from this one have the potential to be huge.
Grab the popcorn, it’s going off.
