For starters, baby Constance did not want to leave the womb. Hanni—who ironically used to work as a storyliner on Corrie—went two weeks past her official due date, starting a grueling “slow labor” on Sunday that lasted all the way until Friday.
Despite the intense pressure and the threat of medical intervention, the couple stood firm on avoiding a hospital trip:
“We were lucky enough to be able to have a home birth,” Jack explained proudly. “We didn’t have to do the hospital even though she was two weeks late. We strictly didn’t want to go down the induced path. Hanni did really well. No pain relief. No gas and air. She didn’t have anything! She’d done hypnobirthing, she’d done all that. She was fully on it!”
