Launched as an ambitious 10-year mission to discover, fund, and scale practical solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, the Earthshot Prize is now at its halfway point. “Solutions are working. Capital is moving. Policy is shifting,” the Prince declared, pointing out that change is not just a future possibility, but an active reality. Over its first five years, the initiative has actively backed 75 trailblazing finalists whose collective efforts have protected and restored 1.4 million square kilometers of land, ocean, and coastline. Furthermore, these projects have successfully conserved 21 million tonnes of water and upcycled or diverted nearly half a million tonnes of waste.
