The following article contains big spoilers that discuss Emmerdale’s mystery arsonist storyline, and confirms who is responsible.

Emmerdale has just accidentally revealed who has been starting the fires on Robert Sugden’s (Ryan Hawley) farmland.

The storyline began a couple of days ago, and saw a hooded figure arrive on Emmerdale Farm and set some haybales alight.

Throughout this week, Robert and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have been determined to find the person responsible, but it appears they’ve spent all of this time looking in the wrong direction.

On their list of potential suspects was Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). After Aaron caught Kammy arriving late to work at the garage, it suddenly dawned on him that no-one actually knows a great deal about this young man.

Even though Aaron is wondering if Kammy’s slacking at garage because he’s busy with some matches elsewhere, the reason for his suspicious behaviour whenever a barn fire is mentioned will be explained when viewers discover next week that he is homeless and sleeping on the farm.

Aaron and Robert also considered Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) as a possibility. The character is set to return to the village, but he will be ruled out as the firestarter in this evening’s episode, due to currently being in prison.

The duo have Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) on their list as well. They’ve been acting shifty for a secret reason, yes, but it isn’t because they’ve been setting barns on fire.

At the very start of today’s instalment, now available on ITVX, the arsonist arrives on Emmerdale Farm again.

The person responsible isn’t actually revealed within the episode – but their name is shared in the end credits.

Due to the credits being listed in order of appearance, Emmerdale has accidentally confirmed that Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) is the firestarter.

His name is first on the list, meaning it matches up with him appearing at the start of the episode.

Woops!

Young Kyle certainly has good reason for wanting to get revenge on Robert and Aaron, as the couple moved into Butler’s Farm and made Kyle and his family leave.

With Kyle so far going undetected, how long will it be until someone works out that he is responsible?
