1. Charity seeks help from Manpreet
As Charity struggles with her mental health following her ordeal with Dr Todd, caring Manpreet checks up on her. Not wanting to disclose what’s really happened, Charity claims that she’s suffering from postnatal depression. Manpreet prescribes medication, but Charity feels trapped by this new lie.
Later, Charity is upset when Mack mentions that he’s told Sarah about her troubles.
2. Sarah struggles with guilt
As she frets about her gran’s supposed postnatal depression, Sarah starts to blame herself and the surrogacy for the situation. She asks for more details, but Charity will only say that there’s “more going on”.
Later, once alone with Mack, an emotional Sarah breaks down in tears as she feels responsible for what’s happened.
3. Cain faces more challenges
Kyle attends his swearing-in session for the Army Cadets, with Cain expected to be there too. However, Cain suffers another accident as he continues to experience side-effects following his operation. Embarrassed by a wet patch on his trousers, he rushes off. Unaware of what’s happened, Kyle is disappointed when Cain isn’t in the audience as promised.
As Cain hides in a toilet cubicle at The Woolpack nearby, Charles finds out what’s going on and gets him a clean pair of trousers. Bob also gets involved in helping, but both promise Cain that they’ll be discreet about what happened.
With the situation resolved, Cain returns to the ceremony and makes amends with Kyle.
4. Cain receives upsetting news at the hospital
Cain heads to the hospital for an update on his latest medical tests. He’s reassured that the surgery was successful, but the cancer appears to have spread slightly.
This means that Cain will need further treatment, but he’ll have to wait for a few months while his body continues to heal following his prostatectomy. The consultant, Ms Rhodes, also explains that Cain’s current side-effects could become permanent as a result of the radiotherapy.
Cain and Moira decide not to share the news with Kyle and Isaac for the time being, but family secrets are later revealed back at home…
5. Lewis is kidnapped
Lewis becomes anxious when Vinny surprises him with a trip to Madeira. After explaining his issues with the spontaneity, Lewis suggests that Vinny should go alone.
After Ross shares some words of encouragement, Lewis decides to go after all and hurries to catch up with Vinny at the airport. But before he can meet his taxi, a van comes to a halt nearby and a masked figure bundles him inside! Who has kidnapped Lewis?
6. Kerry and Archie are caught out
Kerry and Archie team up to try scamming Caleb using the ‘AI Steph’ for a second time. However, they’re soon caught in the act by Eric, who threatens to call the police.
Kerry begs for Eric’s mercy by pointing out that he’s pulled off plenty of scams in his time. Eric relents, encouraging Archie to delete the incriminating evidence and hope it’s the end of the matter.
7. Caleb makes a troubling discovery
Caleb realises that the £5,000 payment he sent to ‘Steph’ for a flat deposit was a scam. He gives himself a hard time over the setback, feeling humiliated that he was conned so easily.
As Caleb vows to call the police, Ruby spots a clue to Kerry’s guilt. Is it only a matter of time before she solves the mystery?
8. Caleb and Billy team up
Caleb confides in Billy about how he fears he’s lost his “edge” recently. He vows to set up a counterfeit goods operation and base it at the depot, without Jai knowing.
Billy is intrigued when Caleb urges him to get involved in return for a cut of the profits. His first job would be a dodgy pick-up, in return for an 8% cut. Will Billy be tempted?
9. Jai confronts Kerry
Caleb warns Jai that the mystery scammer was someone who knows them both. Jai is stunned when he keeps hearing Archie’s name in connection with the scam.
Jai decides to seek answers from Kerry and accuses her of being involved. Will Kerry come clean?
