Emmerdale’s Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) is not here to play.
No, Dr Todd wants her money and is not about to let Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) off the hook. Todd doesn’t care that Charity must sell her business to pay her blackmail debt.
All that concerns Todd is that she wants cash, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get it.
The evil doc has been trying to squeeze Charity for £100,000 in return for keeping her knowledge of Baby Leyla’s true parentage a secret.
While Charity has been scrabbling around to find the money, she’s also tried standing up to her extortionist but has come off worse every time.

Dr Todd’s patience has run out and her latest threat-slash-deadline is that Charity must produce the money by Sarah’s 21st birthday party, or that will be the exact time Todd will reveal all.
Charity is consumed by her woes and turns to drink. The drink makes her bold and she confronts her blackmailer once again, but this time tries a new tack – Charity tells Todd to go right ahead and spill the tea.
It does the trick – Todd backs down. She confesses she can’t destroy Sarah’s life and even goes as far as to try to justify her unscrupulous behaviour.

She’s so contrite, it seems like they’ve called a truce. But if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
The next thing to happen is an utter horror show – with Todd’s hands tied by a defiant victim, she turns violent.
Charity is brutally assaulted, and it would appear Dr Todd is the one responsible.
