In the tonight’s instalment, Charity and Chas tried (and failed) to steal the money from Kim Tate’s safe. Although she felt like she was running out of options, she refused to come clean about Leyla and told Chas they’re going to rob the depot.
Chas talked her out of it, but when Caitlin confronted her upstairs in the pub, Charity insisted that the money was coming once the bank got back to her. Charity also accused Caitlin of “having fun” while putting her through this, as well as “toying” with her ex-partner Vanessa.
“You’ll get [the cash], okay? I promise. But once you do, you need to go. Immediately,” Charity re-iterated.
“And that means you leave me alone, you leave my family alone, and you leave Vanessa alone.”

Caitlin stuck to her word and went to Vanessa’s to tell her that she had a new job and would need to start packing right away.
“It’s in Sheffield. Starts next week. Gotta get there fast, start setting up my stuff,” she said, as Vanessa started get visibly emotional. “I’ll be sorry to leave this place, and you, but we always knew it would only be temporary.”
“Did we?” a blindsided Vanessa replied, explaining that she thought they’d agreed to give things a real go. With a smile on her face but no real empathy in her voice, Caitlin replied that they did try, but now they can be “just mates again” as she made a quick exit.
Charity overheard Mary Goskirk trying to cheer Vanessa up in the pub, but while she might feel like her plan to be rid of the blackmailing doctor is taking shape, newly-released spoilers for next week reveal that the villain is capable of taking things to some truly horrific places…
