What Happened Previously on B&B
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) made a major decision before Christmas when he determined that Eric (John McCook) should retire from fashion. Eric pushed back, convinced he still had plenty of creativity left and no intention of stepping away. Despite that resistance, Ridge moved ahead with a retirement celebration that left Eric feeling pushed aside at Forrester Creations.
The situation took a toll on Eric, who struggled to find joy over the holidays after being sidelined. Meanwhile, Katie (Heather Tom) found herself with a new opportunity after Bill (Don Diamont) gifted her a fashion house following their remarriage. Realizing she needed an experienced designer to lead the venture, Katie turned to Eric, who quickly became the perfect fit for the role.
Because of potential backlash, Eric’s involvement with Logan was kept quiet. As Katie and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) worked through branding decisions and direction for the company, Eric threw himself into creating new designs behind the scenes. Ultimately, Katie decided to move forward with Logan as the official name of the fashion house.
With launch pressure mounting, Bill pushed Eric to finish the designs as quickly as possible. Katie and her team still had to bring Eric’s vision to life, making the timeline even tighter as the new venture moved toward its debut. As he pushed, Eric experienced a breathing episode, and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) tried to get him to the hospital.
