BREAKING HEARTBREAK: CORONATION STREET STAR SHATTERED BY DEVASTATING LOSS!

🐾 Heartbroken Coronation Street Icon Tony Maudsley Unveils Moving Permanent Tribute Following Tragic Loss of Beloved Dog Bosie

The Coronation Street family has rallied around one of its most beloved stars during an incredibly dark time. Tony Maudsley, who plays Weatherfield’s favorite undertaker George Shuttleworth, has left fans in tears after sharing the devastating news that his precious four-legged best friend, Bosie, has sadly passed away.

For 13 years, the adorable Bichon Frise was an absolute staple on Tony’s social media, with fans eagerly awaiting updates on the duo’s real-life adventures. Just back in May, Tony had joyfully celebrated Bosie’s milestone 13th birthday.

Taking to Instagram after weeks of silent grieving, Tony shared a deeply moving tribute alongside a stunning, permanent piece of memorial art.

💔 “Saddest Day of My Life”

In a raw and emotional caption, Tony admitted he had been too completely shattered to share the news with the public until now.

“Had to say goodbye to my Bosie a few weeks ago,” Tony wrote in the heartbreaking post. “Been a bit too heartbroken to share till now. He’s always featured very heavily on my Insta posts as you know. Saddest day of my life and I’ll miss him terribly.”

Desperate to find a way to keep Bosie by his side forever, Tony revealed he turned to a very special, incredibly talented member of the extended Coronation Street family to get a portrait tattoo.

Thanks to Marko Prenger—the brilliantly gifted brother of Jodie Prenger, who plays George’s fierce on-screen sister Glenda Shuttleworth—Bosie’s memory is now permanently inked onto Tony’s skin.

“Now thanks to Marko at @handofhopetattoo, Bosie will now walk with me everywhere, sitting just above my ankle, forever,” Tony shared. “Thank you Marko. This made me feel better more than you know.”

💝 The Cobbles Rally Together in Support

Within minutes of the announcement, Tony’s comment section was absolutely flooded with love, warmth, and deep condolences from his fellow Weatherfield castmates:

  • Sally Carman-Duttine (Abi Webster): “Sending all of the love in the world bud.”

  • Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor): “So sorry Tony. Sending you all the love.”

  • Vicky Myers (Lisa Connor-Swain): “Oh Tony, I’m so sorry.”

  • Gareth Pierce (Todd Grimshaw): Showed his support by leaving a long string of supportive heart emojis.

The moving post also received comforting likes from Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt), Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price), and Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew).

On-screen, Tony’s character George is currently trapped in the epicenter of the street’s high-stakes murder mystery surrounding the death of Theo Silverton. Because of his protective, fierce friendship with Todd Grimshaw—who was Theo’s target of violent abuse for over a year—George remains one of the police’s prime suspects.

But off-screen, Tony is focused entirely on healing from the ultimate heartbreak of losing a pet. We are sending Tony all the love in the world as Bosie officially crosses the rainbow bridge. 🌈
