Emmerdale‘s Dr Caitlin Todd got the upper hand over Charity Dingle again tonight as their blackmail plot continued. Viewers know that Caitlin has been holding Charity to ransom, after finding out the truth about baby Leyla’s parentage.
Caitlin had originally agreed to accept £5,000 to leave the village but, after finding out Charity owns half of the Woolpack pub, she upped her demand to £100,000.
This caused Charity to try and look for a buyer for her share of the pub, with Caitlin giving her a hard deadline of one week to come up with the money.
Tonight, Vanessa came home to find that Caitlin had been on a shopping spree. Caitlin explained that one of her investments had paid a dividend and there was more money coming her way.
Vanessa, Charity and Manpreet then went to The Woolpack to celebrate as Charity was working behind the bar.
When Mack and Ross arrived, Manpreet revealed to Caitlin that she and Ross had previously had a fling. Caitlin then asked if she could invite Mack and Ross over to play a game of darts with them.
During a break from the game, Caitlin asked Ross if it was awkward for him to see Charity and Mack together due to their history. But Ross informed Caitlin that he and Charity never dated, despite them sharing son Moses.
As Charity walked past she could hear what Caitlin was doing, with the evil doctor then prying even further, asking Ross if he was never tempted to take things further with Charity.
When Caitlin and Mack were left alone, he shared that he initially hated Ross before the two became friends with Caitlin pressing him for more information.
