I’m A Celeb Winner AngryGinge Left Heartbroken After Mother’s House Is Devastated by Fire Just Hours Before Soccer Aid

AngryGinge, the 24-year-old YouTube star and I’m A Celebrity winner, has revealed the devastating news that his mother Michelle’s home in Manchester was destroyed in a fire just hours before his  Soccer Aid appearance. The young star shared the heartbreaking update on Instagram on Tuesday, giving fans a glimpse of the charred remains of the house while wearing a mask to protect himself from the lingering dust and smoke. “So as you can tell, you wouldn’t think it, but right now I am in my mum’s house,” he said, speaking amid the devastation.

Earlier that Sunday, while preparing for the charity football match, AngryGinge received the call confirming the tragedy. Despite the emotional blow, he played in the match, helping the England team lift the charity trophy to raise money for UNICEF.

On Monday night, he informed followers that he could not go live due to the  family emergency. “Just letting you all know I probably won’t be live tonight as we have had a major family issue the morning of yesterday. So a lot needs sorting out. I’ll try and be live when I can. I appreciate you all and thank you for always supporting me,” he wrote.

Raised by his mother on a council estate in Salford, Michelle worked multiple jobs — including cleaning and care work — earning around £12,500 annually to support Morgan and his sister. She previously shared her pride at how Morgan thrived despite challenging surroundings, keeping busy with after-school clubs, sports, and theatre.

Michelle broke down watching him on I’m A Celebrity in December, seeing him struggle with homesickness. “My heart absolutely sank, I started crying. It was so hard to see,” she said. “I can’t wait to give him the biggest hug on that bridge.”

Even after Soccer Aid, AngryGinge has focused on his family, showing resilience and determination to support his mother during this difficult time, while promising to keep fans updated as he navigates the aftermath.
