Emmerdale‘s Kerry Pollard suspects young Archie Breckle is up to something next week – and swiftly uncovers his plot to rob Caleb Miligan.
Kerry begins to suspect something is afoot when a new computer turns up for Archie, and she soon finds out the teenager has conned her boss to the tune of £5,000. Will she be impressed, or horrified, by his latest scheme?
“Kerry had no idea Archie was this conniving,” explains our Emmerdale source. “The boy definitely takes after his dad, but when Kerry agreed to look after him, she had no clue he’d be stealing thousands from her boss.”
With Kerry responsible for looking after Archie while Jai Sharma is in Canada, Caleb questions her work ethic when she leaves early to pick the lad up from school.
Meanwhile, Billy Fletcher impresses the boss when he drums up new business, leaving Kerry feeling overlooked.
Caleb later receives a call from his daughter Steph asking for money – and, feeling flush from the new contract, he happily agrees to lend her £5,000 for a flat deposit in London.
He gives Billy his bank account password and asks him to secretly transfer the cash, but Caleb is unaware that this message from his daughter is actually a hoax…
It turns out that Steph is really in Thailand with her new boyfriend, and Ruby is busy updating Chas on all the gossip. Meanwhile at Farrers Barn, Archie secretly listens to an AI recording of Steph’s voice that he made, just as £5,000 lands in his bank account.
The following day, Kerry is surprised when a top-of-the-range computer arrives for Archie. Her suspicions continue to grow as she wonders how he could afford such an expensive machine, especially as he’s only just started working at the shop…
Later, Kerry catches Archie out when she hears his AI copy of Steph’s voice. How will she react when she realises this could put her job in jeopardy?
“Archie figured he could get away with murder while staying with Kerry,” points out our source. “But she didn’t realise her job would be on the line just by offering to look after her boyfriend’s son.
“Caleb is ruthless, and Kerry knows he’d probably fire her on the spot if he suspected she was involved…”
Will Kerry force Archie to confess all to Caleb and make him pay back the money? Or will Archie bring out the cunning side of Kerry and recruit her into his scam?
Emmerdale‘s producer Laura Shaw previously explained: “With Kerry and Jai, his son Archie is going to be up to a few bad things, and we’ll see how their parenting styles differ.
“It’s going to test Kerry and Jai as a couple but also cement them as a little family.”
