Emmerdale‘s Joe Tate finds himself in hot water next week, when Dawn Fletcher is discovered unconscious at Home Farm. Having recently learnt about her secret revenge plan, Joe is the prime suspect for the apparent attack. But is he actually responsible?
After Moira Dingle revealed that Joe was the one who sent her to prison, furious Dawn vowed to make her fiancé (quite literally) pay. Pregnant Dawn concocted a risky plan to steal Joe’s money and escape with her kids.
But while Joe is currently excited about being a father, next week’s episodes will see his nasty side rearing its head again as he discovers Dawn’s scheme.
With Graham urging him to get his own back, how will the ruthless character react to the betrayal?
A newly-released spoiler clip teases trouble for Dawn in Wednesday’s episode (20 May), as Graham returns to Home Farm to find her unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. He rushes over and checks her pulse, before pulling out his phone to call for help.
Moments later, Joe emerges from the top of the staircase. While his expression shows slight confusion, he doesn’t have an immediate reaction to seeing his pregnant fiancée on the floor.
However, his presence alone is enough to concern Graham, who instantly suspects foul play and angrily asks what he has done.
Could Joe’s temper have got the better of him, causing Dawn’s fall? Or is it simply a case of wrong time, wrong place for the villain?
Meanwhile, there has recently been speculation that Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn, is leaving the soap later this year. Though the news hasn’t been officially confirmed, could Dawn’s plan ultimately lead to her demise?
