Some people in Genoa City simply never learn from their mistakes. In the case of what’s going to unfold next week, we’re talking very specifically about Jack. Although truth be told, we could also be talking about Phyllis. Or Michael. Why? Read on, friends, and we’ll discuss all the details offered up in the latest preview.
If you’re wondering why we’re aiming our judgment so squarely at Jack, it’s because he’s had decades to realize that he’ll never defeat Victor, yet here he goes again. While Kyle would no doubt love to support his dad’s efforts, he’s clearly skeptical, and with good reason: Jack’s latest plan to “bring Victor down” involves Patty.
Yes, the same Patty who shot him years ago in what may have been a high point of their relationship. Given that Patty was little more than a pawn to Victor, we’d love to feel sorry for her and maybe even see her join forces with Jack to bring down The Mustache. But something tells us this won’t be a “Hey, let’s work together” situation so much as yet another person — in this case, Jack — taking advantage of a woman who is clearly mentally unwell.

Elsewhere, Phyllis continues down a self-destructive path, even as the walls are closing in on her. Danny’d love to help his mom, but she hasn’t exactly made that easy. Now, she’s making the worst possible move by firing Michael as her attorney. (In the video preview, which you can watch below, he has the perfect response to her dropping the axe on him: “Again?”)
Michael then follows that up with a question we’ve been asking the fiery redhead for weeks: “What the hell are you up to?” (Of course, she couldn’t hear us through the television, so we never got the answer. Perhaps Michael will have better luck!)
Other questions are raised in the preview, including where’s Daniel, and what, exactly, is Devon so earnestly presenting to Mariah. (We’re pretty sure she won’t be thrilled to receive whatever is in that envelope!)
