🚨 SH0CK REJECTION: KEV OFFICIALLY RULED OUT OF MASSIVE EMMERDALE STORYLINE AS RETURN PLOT IGNITES 💣.tt

Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) has been ruled out as the Emmerdale firestarter – which means he’s going to find another reason to return to the village this year.

Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have spent the entire week trying to find the mysterious arsonist, who’s been burning things on Emmerdale Farm.

Aaron has been pondering over it possibly being Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah), due to the fact he’s finally realised no-one actually knows a lot about him. While Kammy is acting strangely around the mention of the fires, it is more than likely down to him being homeless and sleeping in one of the barns, and is therefore terrified about losing his accommodation.

Ross Barton (Michael Parr), who decided to assign himself lead investigator in this case, told Robert and Aaron that they should consider Kev might be the one starting the fires.

Where has Kev been?

Kev hasn’t been seen since the start of the year, and left the village with a broken heart after discovering his ex-husband Robert had reunited with Aaron.

Creating chaos by setting things on fire seems like something Kev would do. After all, this is the same man who threatened Aaron, Robert and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) with a sword.

Robert and Aaron pondered over the possibility of Kev being back, but he was ruled out as the culprit due to currently being in prison. Because there was another fire at the start of tonight’s episode, Kev couldn’t have been in two places at once.

The character is going to return to the village this year, but the reason for coming back to the Dales remains to be seen for now.

So who is the firestarter?

So, if it isn’t Kev, or Kammy, who is starting the fires?

Even though Aaron and Robert are now looking at Ross and Sam Dingle (James Hooton), the actual identity of the aronist has been revealed due to a slip up from Emmerdale.

As the end credits are listed in order of appearance, the ITV soap has accidentally confirmed that Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) is the firestarter.

His name is first on the list, meaning it matches up with him appearing right at the start of the instalment, when the hooded figure arrives at another barn before setting it alight.
