Princess Catherine was seen subtly letting Princess Charlotte know that she needed to move closer to the family during their balcony appearance on Saturday. King Charles led his family at the annual Trooping the Colour yesterday, which is known to be one of the biggest events in the royal calendar.

Trooping the Colour marks the monarch’s official birthday and takes place every June. After the procession, which saw Catherine riding with her three children in a carriage along The Mall, the family joined together on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF Flypast.

After joining the King on the balcony, Catherine appeared to indicate to her daughter that she had to move closer, to which Charlotte was then seen effortlessly gliding over towards her family.

The 11-year-old donned a beautiful off-white dress, whilst Catherine looked stunning in a beautiful shade of pale blue.

Charlotte’s brothers, Prince George, who will celebrate his 13th birthday next month, and Louis, looked smart in matching navy suits.

All three of the children have stepped out for the historic event, which takes place every June and marks the monarch’s official birthday, on numerous occasions.

As well as the Waleses and the King and Queen, the balcony appearance included royals such as Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Also joining the King was rhe Duke of Kent, with the 90-year-old spotted on his phone at one point during the balcony appearance – which left some fans in tears.

This marked Charlotte, George and Louis’ second apearance of the year so far – with their first taking place in April at the Easter Sunday service.

Although Catherine and William appeared, he young royals did not attend Peter Phillips’ wedding last weekend.
