Sheila’s been MIA from the Bold & Beautiful canvas since the episode in which she played Peeping Tom, spying on Deacon and Taylor, who cozied up on the couch in his apartment right after she’d walked out the door. We all braced for her next move, which was bound to be downright diabolical, but instead were left wondering if her claims of being reformed could somehow be legit, when she failed to strike.

More recently, we received an update from Deacon himself, who reported that Sheila had texted to wish him good luck on the grand opening of the revamped Bikini Bar. He told her son, Finn, that his Birth Mother™ seemed preoccupied due to an unexpected situation that arose, having to do with her new roommate.

We said, “Wait…wuuut? Sheila has a roommate?!” and imagined her getting up to all kinds of nefarious things, including but not limited to, harboring her presumed-dead granddaughter Luna again. Find out who we think Sheila’s roommate is here.

While Deacon revels in his new life with girlfriend, Taylor, and celebrates his wildly successful new bar (the opening even featured a Spencer/Forrester punch up!), Sheila has remained off canvas. It’s to the point where we were wondering if she’d just been written off, if only temporarily.

As it turns out, the folks at Bold & Beautiful are indeed giving Sheila a bit of a breather. Executive producer Casey Kasprzyk took to social media to explain that the after having her “heart broken,” the character “needs a moment.”

While the update explained her extended absence, and hinted at her imminent return, the post failed to answer our most burning questions: A heartbroken Sheila is typically a dangerous Sheila. Will her sadness morph into anger and a determination to exact revenge ahead of her come back? What’s going on with the roommate? What unexpected event threw her for a loop? Is it possible she’s actually reformed? Will she come back with a new man on her arm? We could go on.

Unless Deacon drops more teasers about his estranged wife, we’re betting we’ll have to patiently await Sheila’s return in the flesh to get the answers we’re seeking… and even then it might take a while. This is Bold & Beautiful after all!
